Low Back Pain

Low back pain is a significant cause of visits to emergency rooms and primary care physicians. Most low back pain will simply improve over time. A small percentage of low back pain may require treatment with mild analgesics such as anti-inflammatory medicine and muscle relaxants.

If your back pain is so severe that it limits your quality of life, sleep pattern, or ability to work, then you may need to see a physical therapist or one of the pain specialists at RCIPS.

Minimally invasive spinal injections can often improve your quality of life and help you return to work or normal activities.

If your back pain limits your ability to walk or limits control over your bowel or bladder function, you may require surgery.
